This is comprised of central finance areas, specialised teams and divisional finance teams supporting the front-line businesses in over 30 international locations. Finance is responsible for working with the business delivering financial leadership, control, commercial insight and advice.

This is a key Financial Strategy Manager role, where you'll be providing support to the divisional CEO and CFO, on ways to improve financial performance, and drive the financial strategy to optimise a sustainable ROE (Return on Investment). You'll provide insight into the strategic direction of UK Personal Banking’s competitive marketplace. Additionally, you'll provide frameworks and recommendations to optimise balance sheets, product mix and volumes vs. margins, within a constrained environment. You’ll also assess strategic trade-offs. And you'll proactively influence Group financial targets, and identify opportunities and risks, developing excellent market and competitor insights. Working with stakeholders and colleagues, you'll drive and share best practice and improvements to operational effectiveness, and maintain an oversight of profitability methodology and application within pricing.

As Financial Strategy Manager, you’ll be a qualified accountant or equivalent, with strong commercial awareness and an understanding of valuation methodologies. An in depth knowledge of financial dynamics of financial products and services is essential. You’ll also need the ability to construct and review profitability and strategic trade off models. You’ll have excellent stakeholder management skills, and the gravitas and experience to proactively influence and challenge financial strategies.
