Front Office Application Support Analyst – Fund Manager

My client is a global asset management business dedicated to building and providing focused investment solutions for clients who include local government organisations, pension funds, wholesale and retail banks, insurance companies, charities and private wealth managers. With assets under management across a range of real estate, equity, fixed income, money market and alternative funds, their clients benefit not only from our unique access to, and experience of, local markets but also from the availability of considerable global resources.

They are currently looking for an Application Specialist to support their order management system and develop operational processes around it to ensure all business / operational areas understand and contribute to the upkeep of the system.

In this role you will actively support the order management system to ensure continuous delivery of high quality portfolio exposure and risk data for the Multi Asset team. You will be expected to investigate progress any issues giving rise to incorrect exposures/ risk or operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:
· Identifying and responding to any issues that may arise with the order management system.
· Escalating these issues with the order management system’s developers.
· Taking ownership of any problems that may arise and dealing with them.
· Taking functional requirements from the front-office team and building good relationships with these users.

Skills:
· Previous experience in the investment management space.
· Previous experience with an order management system. This can be from Blackrock Aladdin, Latent Zero, Thinkfolio, Charles River.
· A confident and motivated self-starter with the enthusiasm and willingness to learn with the ability to demonstrate this.
· A good understanding of different asset classes.
· Fantastic communication skills and the ability to work alongside business users and external vendor administrators.
