Funds Compliance Manager recruitment
MFG has been managing assets for pension funds, institutions and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US (through Delaware Investments). MFG has global reach, with a team of over 1,400 staff located in over 20 countries including Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe and the US.
Key Responsibilities :
• Provide compliance support to the Macquarie Funds Group teams and related businesses in Europe and assist with regulatory issues relating to fund origination and distribution, institutional fund management and affiliates transactions
• Lead the compliance review and approval of new transactions, new products and new funds
• Develop and maintain compliance plans, related policies and procedures and monitor compliance with these policies
• Assist with the preparation of regulatory compliance reports as required per the compliance plans and governance framework
• Carry out ongoing assessment of the compliance framework operating within the business and ensure adequate controls are established
• Oversee the monitoring, reporting and escalation of compliance issues
• Keep abreast of upcoming, new and revised rules, regulations and directives applicable to the business, and facilitate changes as required. This includes proactive and early communication with business and compliance stakeholders to ensure timely compliance with any changes required
• Assist senior management with the delivery of key divisional projects as required
• Liaise with compliance colleagues to assist with the delivery of the regional and global compliance priorities
Key Skills and Attributes
• Compliance experience gained within a financial services, legal, regulatory or consultancy environment
• Demonstration of a solid understanding of FSA rules and the EU regulatory regime for funds and fund marketing
• Familiarity with UCITS and different fund structures, and the structuring of products aimed at institutional clients
• Ability to take a pragmatic commercial approach to compliance, with an interest in working closely with the business, whilst achieving the desired outcome
• Ability to work independently, determine priorities and meet deadlines but also work within the wider compliance team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm, motivation and the ability to be proactive
