The role is primarily focused in the Metals trading area, offering a rare opportunity to join a knowledgeable and successful team recognised widely as leaders in their field.

Responsibilities include:-
- Hands-on web focused .NET design, development and quality assurance
- Working with internal sponsors from the front office to ensure that business requirements are met
- Contributor to inter-team and cross-team efforts to enforce standards and ensure designs adhere to optimum patterns
Required Skills:-
- Strong proven track record of deliveries using Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, SQL server
- Previous investment banking experience and a good understanding of trading of financial securities
- Excellent communication skills and past experience working closely with Traders, sales teams and external clients
- Experience of RAD development processes
Preferred Skills:-
- Numerate degree or equivalent (Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics)
- Experience of FIX for order management and market data
- Experience of web-client development
- Experience with relational database technologies including Oracle, Sybase etc.
- Experience of middleware
- Experience of implementing Java and Flex for e-trading solutions
- Experience with Python, especially object oriented programming using Python
- Knowledgeable with trading systems and market making
- Commodities experience
- Understanding of time value of money, derivatives (Swaps, Options, Forwards). Concepts around pricing, risk management and modelling.
- Ability to understand complex business problems and translate that to a working design
- Background on execution, order management, exchange connectivity, FIX etc.
