General Ledger Manager

Our client a leading business in South Yorkshire and a market leader in its field. At present they are looking to recruit an experienced, committed and tenacious qualified accountant to manage the General Ledger team. You will be instrumental in continuous improvement initiatives within the General Ledger process area. You will proactively seek opportunities to improve service delivery to SSC customers and you will be responsible for the management and development of the General Ledger team. You will be able to analysis complex processes and systems, ensuring the business receives reliable and accurate information, on a timely basis, correctly reflecting the underlying performance.

You will need to be a fully qualified accountant, ideally ACA, with excellent academics, combined with a proven track record of working in large complex organisations. Detailed understanding of General Ledger controls, including account ownership and reconciliation practices is essential.
