General Manager

Immediate need for an experienced General Manager with in-depth knowledge of the Health Sector practices and functions within an Acute Hospital. This temporary role will be for at least 6 months.

An overview of the role will involve working with the Clincial Directors to lead a team in the strategic delivery of the Trusts acute and specialist medicine. The main focus will be on ensuring the delivery of excellence with respect to patient experience and safety. This will also involve relevant targets, standards, KPI's and contractual requirements of GP commissioners.

One area of responsibility will be the co-ordination and delivery of highly complex Trust-wide performance targets in urgent care and acute medicine, specifically AE, quality indicators, CQUINs, CQC standards, contractual KPI's, CIPS, and internal performance monitoring objectives and standards.

You will also in conjunction with Directors and senior staff, benchmark the current patient experience levels and carry out regular reviews to evaluate the developments and implementations are having a positive impact on the patient pathway and patient confidence.

The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of the NHS Agenda, current legislation and NHS Policy as well as managing complex change projects including clinical and non-clinical teams.
