This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious C++ technologist to join a leading European Investment Bank at their German office in Dusseldorf. The Investment Bank have had an excellent year so far and hope to continue on this growth and profitability with the further expansion of their Interest Rates Trading platform. The successful C++ Software Developer will have the opportunity to work with the latest tools and technologies, in a team comprised of some of the brightest and most talented computer scientists and programmers across Germany. Due to the broad scope of the team, covering multiple business-areas, the projects will be exceptionally diverse and challenging, and thus ideal for an ambitious programmer who likes to push technical boundaries. This is also the perfect opportunity for a talented programmer to gain business and financial exposure. The successful Software Developer will have the crucial responsibilities of developing cutting-edge libraries and applications for calculating prices and risk values covering the whole spectrum of the Front Office business, with particular emphasis on the Interest Rates and Derivatives space. The C++ Developer will design and develop a variety of different libraries and analytics tools, ranging from desktop applications, front-office Summit system and risk-management platforms
The ideal C++ Software Developer will have the following skill-set:
• Solid C++ programming ability in a Unix environment
• Experience with Excel/ Vba would also be beneficial but isn’t essential
• A passion for technology and a keen interest to learn and thrive in a Front Office environment
• Solid analytical and problem-solving ability, as well as the ability to work under pressure
• Sound German and English language
The responsibilities of the C++ Software Developer will be:
• Design and development of next generation software libraries and applications for a broad range of business areas and users, including risk-management, pricing, Interest Rates, FX and Derivatives trading using the latest tools and technologies
• Design and development of a range of cutting-edge Front Office systems, covering desktop applications, Summit and risk-management
• Liaise directly with the Traders on current projects, across both the Dusseldorf and London offices
• Optimise and enhance the Interest Rates, FX and Derivatives trading software to ensure the continued success of the business
