Global Fixed Income Fund Manager
The Opportunity:
• Newly created opportunity to work within this Global Fixed income team, which forms a significant part of this prestigious asset manager’s highly reputable fixed income / credit business
• Within this role you will be focused on the research and idea generation of investment ideas for several highly rated bond funds that have a Global mandate
• The client base for these funds is predominantly Japanese Institutions and this is a geographic area where my client has a formidable reputation and a long-standing track record of success
• This is a real career development opportunity for the right candidate. The role will offer a level of direct fund management responsibility from the start, but, as importantly the chance to proactively input ideas into a significant number of key funds that are managed by a highly experienced fund management team
Your Experience:
• You will be have an excellent record of academic achievement and are likely to be a CFA Charter Holder, or have passes at level I II
• In terms of experience you will have demonstrable asset management experience and are likely to have a fairly international background
• It is essential that you have a high level of fluency in Japanese language
• With regard to specific asset class knowledge, you will have very strong experience of analysing and making investment decisions regarding Global Government / Sovereign Debt, particular the US and/or Europe. Some knowledge of Japanese debt would be useful but is not essential
• This role will require you to have a high level of conviction with regard to your investment ideas and the confidence and ability to positively influence other senior members of the investment team
