West Virginia University School of Nursing is seeking a Grant Administrator/ Writing Specialist who will report to the Associate Dean for Nursing Research. This position is for a growing Office of Nursing Research. The School invites applications for this position from qualified individuals who possess effective pre and post grant management skills and demonstrated grant writing skills. The applicant must have excellent communication abilities for interactions with faculty, department chairs, students, and administrative staff within the School of Nursing; an ability to independently organize and prioritize the multiple tasks of this office. We are seeking a team player for an office that will support faculty located on the Charleston, Keyser, Montgomery, Martinsburg and Morgantown campuses. The position is located on the Morgantown campus of West Virginia University. The position is responsible for assuring faculty grants are in full compliance with federal, state, and sponsor guidelines and submitted on a timely basis. This is achieved by working with faculty and the university Office of Sponsored Programs. Other duties include identification of grant opportunities, writing and editing proposals, budget preparation, expenditure tracking and grant administration activities. Grant and reporting templates and policies need to be refined. Minimum qualification for the position are a Master s degree in nursing, health sciences, health administration, or related field with at least 3-5 year s experience in grants administration, grants management, project management, and research grant writing.
