Grants and Contracts Officer I
- Ability to review and negotiate pre-clinical/clinical trial agreements and contracts
- Ability to work independently and perform detailed work directly related to sponsored research studies
- Assist the investigator in all areas relating to the submission of industry-sponsored studies, included, but not limited to, the study budget
- Review and negotiate grant and contract awards
- Establish new projects and monitor projects. This requires setting up of new awards and the monitoring of grants and contracts under the Officer's jurisdiction, on a continuing basis. This also includes drafting, reviewing for acceptability, and coordinating subcontracts and agreements
- Monitor financial status of assigned accounts
- Coordinate grant and contract information between institution departments
- Perform other duties as required by the Assistant Vice President, Research Administration and Director, Industry Sponsored Clinical Trials

Job Requirements:
Minimum of two years of related research and sponsored projects administration experience. Ability to interpret policies and procedures as they apply to the submission and awarding of agreements to LA BioMed. Excellent organizational, analytic and problem solving skills. The ability to track and manage multiple projects in varying stages of development. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills. The ability to work positively and effectively with scientists and physicians. Strong customer focus with an ability to work in a stimulating fast paced environment.
