Position Overview
The Operations Analyst undertakes the processing of transactions, events or data processing within a functional team.

The role will involve a varied and challenging workload, often with the requirement to pick up unfamiliar tasks having high impact. The successful candidate needs to be able to manage these tasks and deliver results to an excellent standard. In doing so, he/she will be able to make a key contribution in terms of supporting the processes within PWM Operations Asia and driving the business forward. This role provides high visibility.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring timely, complete and accurate processing of transactions (including performing all relevant controls) within own area of responsibility
• Applies all internal and external policies/guidelines and requirements of the regulators and to agreed SLAs, KRIs and/or KPIs and quality measures
• Provides input, as appropriate, to product / function development to ensure a superior offering in the face of changing client needs and market trends
• Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions
• Uses knowledge and experience from own area of responsibility to inform the design and implementation of strategies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency and performance of existing processes and reports
• Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement
• Perform analysis and base lining of current operational processes in order to identify areas of opportunities
• Work closely with various cross functional team within Operations and other key stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions in line with the business direction and operating models without comprising the necessary controls and risks
• Presenting improvement proposals to key stakeholders in PWM Business and operations management.
• Leverage on the knowledge and business intelligence gained to drive and implement the process improvement initiative
• Provide post implementation support and ensure sustainability of the new implemented process
• Problem solving and troubleshooting whenever required
• Handle other adhoc tasks assigned

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field - preferably finance, economics or mathematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel VBA skills will be desirable
• Knowledge of Private Banking products and processes will be advantageous
• Process thinking
• Lean, Six Sigma knowledge will be added advantage
• Possesses critical decision making skills as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, to prioritize and handle multiple projects
simultaneously to meet tight deadlines
• Meticulous and attention to details
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
