Role Mandate:
The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for managing vendor relations, troubleshooting vendor-related and non-operational inbound issues and manages the compliance program. He/she will collaborate with vendors, buyers, inbound operations, distribution and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) group for continuous improvement plans.
Responsibilities:
• Manage appointments for the distribution Center for all processing of domestic, US, and offshore activity.
• Manage Offshore Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) and labeling process.
• Support new vendor setup and on boarding.
• Responsible for financial management (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, etc).
• Manage offshore origin operations, US Cross border operations, US inbound transportation vendor negotiations and freight forwarding operations.
• Manage domestic and US freight terms.
• Responsible for managing ocean contract negotiations and service management.
• Responsible for Inbound expense management.
• Develop adhoc inbound solutions for the business as required.
• Support Supply Chain Operations Planning and Distribution – particularly Christmas and Spring Peaks.
Qualifications:
• University degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• MBA is an asset
• 10 years experience in supply chain and logistics management
• Retail experience preferred
• Analytical thinker
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong Negotiation skills required
• Experience in operations, forecasting and capacity Planning
• Experience in Inventory Control Management
• Experience with Adhoc
