Head of Human Resources – APAC recruitment
This is a new role. The opportunity will afford a seasoned solution focused Senior HR and Business professional scope to initiate, develop and implement new systems and programs to drive performance Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Given this is a new role for the region the appointee will be as capable in strategy as implementation.
Essential will be building relationships across the region, trust with the board, offering of insight and advice within and to the Global SMT re: the nuances and needs of this diverse cultural population.
Your role will include
- Leadership and development of the HR Team, it’s capabilities and business partnering across the region
- Development and implementation of robust strategic resourcing programs and capability from entry levels to senior appointments
- Compensation and benefits planning; job evaluations, internal and market benchmarking, retention plans for key talent, annual CB reviews, reward and recognition programs
- Sourcing, development and implementation of appropriate training and people development initiatives working closely with the HR team, business leaders and selected vendors
- Organisational design
- Management and development of HR Operations, HRIS and people metrics
- Regional alignment with global policy and standards
- PM systems which enable managers to systematically identify performance issues supported by the necessary and appropriate coaching to identify clear short and long term plans/actions for improvement
Skills, knowledge and qualifications
- Proven regional Team Leadership experience
- Proven experience in creating or developing a high performing HR function
- Professional Networking, Relationship Development, Leadership
- Experience of dealing with a complex and highly demanding client base
- Previous experience in global, expanding business with HQ out of the region
- Commercial Acumen
- Good understanding of the business environment in which Asia Pacific/MEA operates and the effective application of business processes.
- Project Management certification and/or knowledge and experience
- Solid MA or JV experience
- Bachelor’s degree, with relevant post graduate qualifications
- Fluent English is essential with fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
