Our Client a savings, investment and pensions company based in the South East seeks a Head of Insurance and Investment Risk to lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the framework for identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring insurance and financial risks across the business
Key roles and responsibilities
The Head of Insurance Financial Risk will lead the development of a suite of risk metrics assessing exposures to insurance and financial risks, oversee and challenge policy development for Financial Risk (Credit Risk, ALM Risk , Investment Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Insurance Risk and provide challenge to proposed approaches to Risk Mitigation/Transfer for insurance, financial risks and to capital management.
The Head of Insurance and Financial Risk will develop and document the approach to review and challenge of the ICA, Standard Formula SCR, and other solvency and financial reporting assumptions and methodologies.
They will oversee the design and operation of the control framework of the modelling capability supporting the production of the Standard Formula and the ORSA , providing significant input to ORSA reporting. They will also review ICA and Solvency II model inputs and contribute to model validation.
By developing close and effective working relationships throughout the organisation, they will support the Risk Director, and provide Risk representation on committees and projects as directed.
Skills Experience
The successful candidate will be an experienced risk manager and preferably actuarial professional with extensive financial services regulatory experience, including in life assurance.
