Head of Learning and Development, Dubai recruitment
Job Purpose:
The incumbent will support the organization’s global vision through the delivery of best practice learning and development initiatives.
Major Responsibilities:
- Establish the framework for business line, team specific organisational development initiatives and facilitate the delivery of such development in conjunction with business leaders and HR Business Partners
- Provide thought leadership, delivery expertise and support to the Learning and Development (LD) function to ensure seamless implementation of the LD department’s products and services
- Build, lead and actively support a diverse team of talented LD professionals responsible for providing development consulting as well as recruiting/developing young talents, addressing training needs and organizing onboarding programs for new hires
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of global training services and action learning to individuals and teams to enhance both individual performance/fulfillment and team/organizational capability
- Oversee and assist the implementation of global HR/LD initiatives particularly those supporting the Organization’s strategy and culture
- Evaluate and continuously improve LD programmes delivered to ensure they meet objectives and deliver value to the business
- Identify, develop and promote best practices in learning and development methodologies in the region
- Develop close and productive relationships with the LD community and key stakeholders in the region
- Enhance the utilization of web-based tools (systems content) to manage the delivery of LD within the organization
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience as an LD professional, preferably in the financial services industry
- University degree
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment
- Specific experience in working with SMEs (subject matter experts) in the co-development of professional and business development training
- Strong experience in the delivery of training
- Proficient in MS office suite and IT savvy
- Strong influencing skills
- Structured and organized
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as project management capabilities
- Resilient and abliltiy to deliver on tight deadlines
