HR Business Partner (Risk) recruitment
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a HR Business Partner to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a HR Business Partner, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
Purpose of the role
Primary HR interface with the business (either at divisional, major or minor business unit level). To manage the HR relationship with the business unit and to challenge, support and add value to the business in pursuit of their objectives and overall Group strategy. To create HR plans that drive optimal business performance in terms of Change Management, Talent Management, Organisational Design, Senior Resourcing, Performance Management and Leadership Capability and ensure these are in line with HR polices and standards.
In order to be successful for this position you will be required to have the ability to engage with clients and talk their language, removing barriers with all stakeholders. Make effective links between HR and business strategy, contract with clients on scope, deliverables, timescales and resources. Leading others to deliver large/complex programmes/projects while dealing with ambiguity.You will have the ability to continually monitor and evaluate performance, tracking benefits of all HR related initiatives and build a network across RBS MIB Group HR.
Deliverables: criteria/results by which success can be measured
Strategic Business Change
Partner with the business to develop and deliver their people plans, including change programmes, to optimise the contribution of employees in both the short and long term. Be regarded as an expert in the field of HR and provide expertise to business planning sessions.
Talent and Succession
Support the business maintain and develop their approach to talent management; facilitating leadership discussions on talent, a minimum of 2 per year, and ensure talent is attracted and retained and that there is a robust succession plan in place with appropriate coverage for critical roles.
Organisation Efficiency Effectiveness
Manage the impact of increased regulatory requirements and ensure business structures are the most effective to achieve strategic goals of the business. Shape culture to facilitate and support the businesses goals and initiatives.
Performance Management Reward
Work with the centres of expertise and the business to implement performance management systems and practices and deliver changes to ensure robust practices that link performance and reward are embedded. Actively seek to improve overall performance management of RBS
Leadership Capability
Build strategic capability to ensure performance improvement at all levels. Partner clients in ensuring that the business has appropriate levels of leadership and that employees are engaged (using YourFeedback data and action plans as enablers).
Experience Required
- Experience of organisational and complex business change together with an understanding of organisation development.
- Experience of working with leadership/senior teams, ability to establish formal and informal networks and influence change.
- Experience of building capability, managing cultural and behavioural change.
- Exposure to international organisational/people issues.
- Degree level education or equivalent
Technical Knowledge:
- Technical and professional HR knowledge, including sound general knowledge of employment law.
- Experience of analysing MI to diagnose business/organisation/people issues.
- Understanding of performance management and the key drivers of reward strategy.
- Business understanding, awareness of customer strategy and PL activity
People Management
- Manage a flexible resource compromising of Consultants
Financial Management
- Financial management, including project budgets and staff/other costs.
