HR Project Consultant/ Manager recruitment
Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a HR Project Consultant to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a HR Project Consultant, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
The role of HR Consultant is one of a team of Project Consultants who are deployed across Markets and International Banking (MIB) HR to support the delivery of the HR Strategy. The Project Consultants provide the focus and discipline to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and that appropriate reporting and governance occur.
Project Consultants are deployed on projects according to business need and with the intention of developing their portfolio of skills and experience. They can expect to be deployed on either one major project or a range of smaller projects at any point in time. The team operates as a consultancy practice which requires flexibility on the part of all team members to respond to changing requirements and priorities across a broad stakeholder group.

Responsibilities
- Lead designated projects within the MIB HR plan and ensure that outcomes support business success, employee and manager experience and regulatory requirements;
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget and that issues are anticipated and managed as appropriate;
- Engage with key stakeholders and customers on a structured and regular basis to ensure that programme design and delivery meet expectations and requirements;
- Build external perspectives /competitor intelligence into all change recommendations, ensuring solutions drive us to an appropriate position within the competitor landscape;
- Demonstrate the strategic value a Project Manager brings to a project;
- Proactively manage change projects in a way that ensures that key risks are identified, mitigated or escalated as appropriate;
- Take responsibility for sharing skills and knowledge and supporting the development of other employees, including peers and less experienced employees who may be assigned to a project.
- Participate in volunteering activities as part of the Community Investment programme
Competencies:
- Previous experience of managing global projects, preferably in an HR environment
- Project management experience in a structured environment
- Excellent relationship builder and stakeholder manager
- Able to operate with minimum guidance within a reasonably defined and structured environment
- Ideally HR Generalist skill set gained ideally in a consultancy style environment
- Flexibility and change orientation
- An ability to work in a matrix based structure with a large volume of high priority tasks
