The HR department is responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resource initiatives, policies and practices to ensure the effective performance, development, and retention of CBA employees to achieve business objectives in line with our offshore strategy corporate culture. HR serves as an integral link between management and employees, providing specialised services to foster positive working relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

The successful candidate will have a direct reporting line to the Head of HR, Europe and will be responsible for: -

• Day to day management of HR queries from the business.

• Supporting the business with the application of HR Policies and practices by providing sound advice and guidance to senior managers, line managers and employees in order to mitigate risk and ensure best practice is achieved.

• Assisting Head of HR to develop basic programs for the business such as graduate co-ordination, recruitment strategy, workforce planning and talent reviews.

• Contributing to driving the performance appraisal system in the business providing guidance and coaching to management where necessary.

• Managing and developing the use of the Bank’s Learning system in conjunction with Talent Development.

• Assisting the Head of HR in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures and where necessary make recommendations for changes to existing policies and procedures in view of changing Employment Legislation and best practice.

• Manage the entry and exit of all employees within London Branch Malta, including employee screening applications, Visa administration and starter and leaver administration

• In conjunction with the Head of HR and HR Payroll Analytics officer assist with the annual remuneration review.

• Manage the day to day relationships with HR service providers.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Previous Financial Services Experience

• Broad knowledge of financial markets, products and general banking.

• Proven ability to successfully manage key stakeholders

• Project management experience

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Right to work in UK: Only applicants with the right to work in the UK will be considered for interview.

Desirable

• Fluency in other major European languages would be useful.
