Hydro Power Analyst – energy trading recruitment
This is an important role within the trading analysis team and will take the lead on providing Hydrological Analysis for countries where hydro electricity is a key part of their electricity production.
This role will have the responsibility for forecasting on a daily basis, non managed hydro production for relevant countries in Europe. This will include collecting information about hydro systems including snowpack, flow and rainfall data and resevoir levels. You will need to maintain and improve existing hydro models and set up new models for new countries when needed. You will need to improve existing water temperature models. You will also need to communicate analysis results and hydro information to traders and analysts.
You should have at least 2 years of hydro power modelling experience preferably using VBA and Matlab. In addition some hydrological forecasting experience would very useful. You should have excellent analysis skills coupled with outstanding communication skills.
