Implementation Lead

Hays Healthcare are looking for an Implementation Lead to join a team of staff within the Procurement Department of a leading Private Healthcare organisation.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week

Role Purpose

· To drive and monitor compliance of specific group standardised procurement products and services across hospitals.
· To act as conduit between Procurement and hospitals – i.e. Clinicians, Suppliers, Hospital Management teams and Sourcing, to support the roll out of procurement projects and delivery of cost savings in line with the annual Sourcing plan.
· To work with Consultants, Pharmacists, Theatre Managers and other Clinical Leads to identify areas of potential to improve and rationalise the number of products and suppliers used across the Group

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for driving and supporting hospitals compliance to procurement Sourcing projects/ contracts at nominated hospitals.
· Lead and manage product trials and evaluations in conjunction with suppliers and hospitals.
· Responsible for all compliance to group contracts at specific allocated sites.
· National accountability for specific contracted product areas. (project management and compliance)
· Identify cost saving opportunities through liaison with hospitals and suppliers.
· Communicate objectives and implementation activities to key internal stakeholders and suppliers
· Establish and maintain supplier relationships and employ SRM good practice for key spend suppliers
· Responsible for driving and supporting hospitals compliance to procurement Sourcing projects/ contracts at nominated hospitals.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

· Relevant experience working in a healthcare setting ideally as a clinician/in an operational role.
· Hands on knowledge of clinical products an advantage.
· Project management experience required.
· Track record of delivering change management.
· Ability to influence people and manage change essential.
· Some experience working with procuring clinical products, business services and capital equipment an advantage.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrable track record in communicating ideas to senior management or board.
· Prepared to travel and work flexibly.
