Our client, located in Hampton, Virginia, is seeking a Infrastructure Operations Tech who will be assigned to an 8-hour shift per day, 5 days a week and rotates shifts quarterly to provide 24x7x365 infrastructure operations coverage for the network enterprise. The Tech will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, responding to, and reporting network events which affect the operational availability of the AF enterprise networks, core services, or critical applications for networks using the government provided network monitoring/management tool suites. They will maintain and inspect the router/switch audit logs and record/track network events detected during monitoring and assist in determining the mission impact of network events discovered during monitoring. The Tech will administer and monitor the Virtual Private Network (VPN), creating tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access throughout the command. The candidate will troubleshoot and correct IT system anomalies when problems arise. They will operate and maintain Remote Access Service (RAS).
