Intellectual Property Knowledge Lawyer recruitment
The role
The role will be very broad but will include the following:
- Business development - Providing knowledge support to business development initiatives for the company’s global outsourcing and technology as well as intellectual property practices
- Training - Preparing and delivering legal training to associates, partners and clients
- Publications - Drafting high level material for external publications
- Knowledge sharing - Facilitating the sharing of knowledge by the practices on a global basis
- Strategy - Feeding into the global team’s know-how strategy and implementing such strategy by promoting the use of internal databases and search engines and by devising and implementing systems for know-how collection (research notes, transactional documents, training material etc.)
- Advice - Acting as a sounding board for lawyers to discuss the legal issues which they face in their transactions; providing assistance to lawyers in their research
- Precedents / standard form documents/practice notes - where required, maintaining existing precedents and drafting new precedents and practice notes
The role is a part-time role.
Experience Required
- Qualified lawyer with experience in outsourcing, technology and intellectual property. You will ideally have had exposure to the technology industry although this is not a prerequisite
- Project management experience and demonstrated creativity in problem solving
- Experience in designing and delivering successful, interesting and innovative training programmes, targeted to the audience
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities across all levels of the organisation
- Experience in drafting complex documents in plain language
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
