Interim Corporate Finance Manager
Working as part of the Group leadership team reporting directly to the Group plc CFO and alongside the Group FC, this role is responsible for the proactive analysis of the divisional operations, focusing on both performance appraisal and commercial development aspects.
A high profile role liaising with senior stakeholders within the business spanning several different subsidiary management teams including the Executive Board.
The successful candidate will possess an advanced Commercial Finance skill set, with the ability and interpersonal gravitas to develop relationships and to persuade and influence at all levels as well as leadership skills, as this role will work with a relatively small but highly professional team and ideally have experience in the energy market.

Maximise bottom line opportunities for the business
Steer the financial direction of the business, and undertakes all strategic financial planning and reporting to stakeholders.
Be responsible for supporting the identifying and securing merger and acquisition deals and take the lead role to handle all aspects of large transactions for a business, including due diligence.
Key duties responsibilities
The Interim Corporate Finance Manager will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:
Use financial modelling to predict outcomes and build and deliver strategic plan at group and subsidiary level
Support in targeting and winning business
Liaise with all parties involved in transactions and assist with negotiations
Support legal documentation and prospectuses
Assess and predict financial risks and returns
Liaise with accountants, lawyers, financial experts and regulatory bodies
Contribute to competitive bid proposals and formal presentations
Support the CFO capital projects and portfolio management in ensuring that the company standards and processes are reflected in capital projects progression, project evaluations and in analysis of the business and competitive environment.
Oversee and ensure effective execution of all critical corporate planning processes including those related to corporate strategy, stage gate, valuation and decision quality for opportunities and helping to re-focus the portfolio through defined action plans.
Interact with CFO and subsidiary MD’s on planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendation.
Enable management to make the right choices in a timely manner through high quality economic evaluations, decision analysis, commercial insights and robust fit-for-purpose uncertainty / risk analysis along with effective challenge, guidance and support to the evaluation project team.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a successful proven track record as a Corporate Finance Manager, as well as:
Strong financial modelling skills
Experience at board level and certainly subsidiary MD and management team level
Management experience and leadership abilities
Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
Excellent commercial capability
Previous experience gained within a fast paced, entrepreneurial and plc business will be essential
Advanced MS Excel ability as well as SAGE
The role will be based in Slough, but you will be expected to travel to Manchester and the South Coast once a fortnight
