RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations in all aspects of the management of our people in London
• Update and maintain local HR processes, policies and procedures to ensure that they support MSCI’s strategic goals and culture
• Contribute to the development of, and implement, MSCI global and regional policies and procedures, tailoring to local requirements where appropriate
• Manage all aspects of the Year End process for relevant client groups to ensure that annual reviews, comp decisions and promotions are successfully completed
• Oversee administrative processes for joiners, leavers and other contract amendments
• Ensure production of all official documentations including offer letters, disciplinary communications and termination letters
• Coordinate all international transfers
• Conduct exit interviews
• Partner with the internal Payroll team to ensure all employee information and reporting is accurately and securely provided
• Liaise with Benefits Providers and Vendors on all related benefit matters, including contract negotiations, annual policy review, process reviews, reporting and communication to employees
• Provide advice and expertise to employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes and good practice
• Proactively provide feedback to senior management concerning morale, motivation and people at risk, and recommend solutions
• Partner with management (local and global) for talent and performance management initiatives, adding valuable, balanced insights for employee/team development
• Proactively advise employees and management in order to resolve employee relation issues, act as a confidant for employees and managers to assist them in performance and work-related issues
• Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships globally
• Field general HR queries from clients
• Partner with Office Head to provide support and guidance on office and cultural initiatives
• Partner with recruitment team to support recruitment activity in London
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior HR team members in the Region
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and global initiatives as required
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• University degree in HR, Business or Psychology;
• Solid experience of providing HR generalist support in a private sector environment. Financial Services/Professional Services experience essential
• Significant previous experience of successful interim engagements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Is approachable, credible and can adopt a flexible approach
• Discretion and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues
• Ability to follow through on issues, use good judgment and provide solutions
• Well organised, thorough and good attention to detail
• Previous experience of managing transition of HR operations support to a remote location desirable
• Previous experience of working on the HR aspects of an acquisition desirable
• Evidence of multiple stakeholder management in a matriced, global organisation
• Evidence of successful development and implementation of cultural/engagement initiatives
• Ability to work independently in a highly pressurized environment and to be proactive and prioritize work load accordingly
• Excellent team player, able to work with minimum supervision in a “virtual” global team environment
