Desirable Skills: TOGAF certification; experience working with off-shore partners and development functions

This role will act as the Lead Architect within a team of technical architects and will own the design authority and accountability for a global front office portfolio of applications. You will oversee the architecture and design aspects of the on-going IT development. The role will also require the architect to take on some trouble shooting requirements when major technical issues arise.

The role will face off to the delivery teams as well as the business community so you must be able to manage a range of users and senior stakeholders. The architecture is growing and changing on a regular basis so you must be a candidate who can embrace change rather than an architect who insists that it is their way or no way!

Day to day responsibilities will include: Own the front office application portfolio – including functional, technical and data; work closely with the business leaders and stakeholders to produce and maintain a strategy for the portfolio; perform architecture and design reviews throughout the delivery life-cycle; represent the global Oil portfolio in the architecture community within the organisation; work with the front office architecture team to ensure a consistent approach across the whole the global business.

This is an exciting and dynamic role that will suit Director level technical architects who have SME functional knowledge within Physical Oil Trading.
