IT Quality Manager- Basking Ridge, NJ or Greenville, SC Job in Greenville, New Jersey US
The IT Quality Manager will be involved in management and administration of multiple IT Functions and managing general operations which are not specific to one IT Function. This position manages and is accountable for professional employees. The IT Quality Manager will also be involved in the development and implementation of efficient and effective test plans for new systems, problems and/or enhancements. This includes the effective use of QA methodology, processes and associated automated testing tools. Coordinate, supervise and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit. Other responsibilities include:
- Acountable for programs/projects within portfolio from overall quality perspective that meet engagement criteria
- Accountable for management and oversight from quality (testing) perspective of Budget/Scope/Schedule/Risk at program level
- Responsible for managing the definition, implementation and integration of quality principles and quality processes into the design and development of software and IT processes.
- Ensures that quality methods and procedures are executed.
- Ensures that products, applications, and systems are in compliance with established quality standards, and meet customer requirements.
- Analyzes best-in-class processes, establishes customer satisfaction metrics, understands the interaction and relationship of business operations and operating systems and network processes.
- Champions the application of quality principles in business and IT processes through training, meeting and team facilitation, communication programs and team building activities.
- Responsible for researching, developing and implementing testing methods and procedures. Ensures that products meet the highest quality standards. Monitors and reports on defects.
- Work collaboratively with our offshore employees and strategic vendors
- Be a champion for the UHG IT Quality Agenda ensuring it is aligned with the over all vision of UHG IT.
- Ensures the UHG IT quality goals are achieved.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree a must
- 3 years or more years of project management experience within a large enterprise or similar-sized environment
- 4 or more years of understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), quality systems, and validation processes.
- Experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users, and/or units across an organization
- Previous experience managing team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of QA background and/or testing experience preferred
- Knowledge of testing tools (QTP, HP Quality Center, LoadRunner, Performance Center) preferred
- Knowledge of optimizational testing techniques (risk-based testing, common coordinated test planning, etc.) preferred
- Testing backgound in Mainframe applications preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
