Junior Governance Sales Specialist
Position Overview:
Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), part of MSCI Inc, a global corporate governance company, is immediately seeking a Governance Sales Specialist to represent a suite of market leading corporate governance and financial research tools to a variety of institutional investors and financial services companies. Territory will be spread across EMEA, with a strong focus on the UK. The position is based in London.
Performance is based on achievement of quarterly sales targets. Each sales team runs as a business. It is up to the individual team member to communicate across management, research, operations, marketing and product development to ensure internal resources are allocated in a way to best deliver on customer requirements, and hence build revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed revenue and renewal goals
- Identify and close sales with new prospects and up sales with existing clients
- Maintain a current book of lower tier UK clients by establishing relationships via telephone and possible travel with users and decision makers
- Grow current customer revenue by upselling additional ISS products
- Increase ISS’ market penetration by identifying, cold calling and closing sales with new clients
- Continuously assess market opportunities, define and update a sales plan for territory and discuss with sales management
- Ensure detailed sales and renewal reporting and forecasting by keeping SalesForce up to date
- Work closely with Sales manager to help develop marketing plan for respective new business territory and existing book of clients
- Monitor customer satisfaction
- Record very diligently all client and prospect contacts and other useful information into SalesForce
- Share information across the sales group and with other departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in selling in the financial sector
- Excellent presentational skills and inter-personal relationships
- Innovative, customer oriented thinker able to identify and exploit market opportunities
- A team builder and player with emotional maturity
- Highly systematic, organized and prioritized approach to sales effort in territory
- Absolute personal and business integrity
- Knowledge of the Corporate Governance industry is a plus
- Native or proficiency in English and French required.
