Junior Market Maker/Trader

MET Traders is a financial futures trading firm specialising in proprietary trading. In addition MET provide Market Making services on the world’s leading exchanges. Successful candidates will be given training from MET’s experienced market makers, who will be teaching at an individual level. This intense training programme has been developed in house and has a proven track record of success.

The programme is highly focused on the individual and provides the right candidate an accelerated path to market participation. With a sound understanding of price discovery through market making, the candidate will ultimately have the opportunity to prove themselves as a derivatives trader.

The industry standard is for graduates to either pay, or receive zero compensation, for training. This unique role defies that norm and offers the successful applicant both remuneration and training.  This is a fantastic opportunity for highly motivated individuals who are focused, determined and who are keen to face the challenges of the world’s financial markets.

MET Traders are seeking to fill this role with only the best candidate. This individual must have excellent numeracy skills. Previous experience is not required however; a dynamic professional who works well under pressure is imperative.

Person Specification

The Junior Market Maker/Trader will be qualified to a graduate level a (class 2:1 or above).

They may or may not have work experience in a related field.

Ability to understand and analyse complex information.

Possess sound business acumen and show potential trading ability.

Excellent attention to detail.

Will be calm under pressure.

Have an understanding of risk management.

Possess excellent communication skills.

Will be highly numerate and computer literate.

Hold a strong and demonstrable teamwork ethic.

Confidence in decision making ability
