The Legal Compliance ("LC") Department of JPMorganChase Co is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the Corporation, and includes the Office of the Secretary. The Office of the Secretary provides for effective governance of the Firm, serves as a central repository of legal, regulatory, and shareholder data, and supports the ethical conduct of business through the Code of Conduct.
Structure: LC is organized around Practice Groups that largely conform to the organization of the Firm's Lines of Business and Corporate Staff. This alignment allows the legal and compliance staff to work closely with the lines of business and staff areas on a daily basis.
Two units in the corporate support staff are Legal Billing Unit (LBU) and the Matter Management Team.
The primary purposes of the Legal Billing Unit are the accurate and prompt payment of legal invoices and the precise and timely record keeping of same to provide the foundation for key financial reports.

The primary purpose of the Matter Management Team is the development and improvement of the matter management tool, day-to-day assistance for users, and special communications and training relating to GOLD. GOLD, the matter management tool, also interacts with an external spend management/billing system, AIMS (Advanced Invoice Management System).
Position Summary:
This position will be involved in tasks related to supporting users of the GOLD system (used by employees to create and track matters/cases) and supporting users of AIMS (used by law firms to submit invoices electronically), including outside counsel and non-outside counsel invoices.
This position will interact with all levels of Legal Compliance professionals, JPMC Sourcing professionals, and outside law firm billing administrators. In addition to closely partnering with the US-based Legal Billing Unit and Matter Management Team, this position will provide primary support to the EMEA-based community and work to streamline/improve current processes for the local professionals.
Key Responsibilities:Processing payments, both paper and electronic, including data entry of paper invoices into AIMS.Overseeing the professional workflow setup and modification process as well as resolving user (internal and external) requests, questions and issues (via phone and email).Performing checks and identifying the VAT treatment of legal invoicesCompleting VAT coding and Compliance Checks before electronic transfer to AP for paymentPartnering with key stakeholders to ensure accounting and project information is accurately captured on company's systems that apply to legal invoicesLiaising with Accounts Payable to maintain law firm data integrity and for law firm onboarding projects.Administering training for matter and spend management systems.Working with Sourcing to resolve Outside Counsel Database issues, answer questions related to the firm's Third Party Oversight policies, and ensuring compliance with the Outside Counsel Manual.
