Legal Counsel (focusing on credit derivatives) recruitment
You will be a qualified lawyer capable of working very closely with the Business, and will need to show maturity and confidence in handling a good and respected relationship with the sales and trading desks. You must have a thorough understanding of credit derivatives; have been involved in market updates (directly or indirectly); and be familiar with the determination process.
Responsibilities:
- Support the credit sales and trading desks, assist in the development of template documentatio, liaise with front and back office functions, internal control groups and external and internal legal counsel.
- Involved in matters being dealt with by the ISDA determinations committee and it's legal subgroups attending meetings and providing input as required.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Keep up with industry and regulatory initiatives and developments through ISDA/industry committees and working groups.
- Work on a variety of matters required to support other businesses covered by the legal team.
