Manager Risk & Control Assurance (contract)
This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimisation of the control environment within Financial Services. This is achieved by providing a comprehensive and integrated risk service, by providing risk management advice and the co-ordination of and the implementation of risk management activities in accordance with the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).
You shall be expected to:
- Provide a comprehensive and integrated risk service and support the Executive Manager Risk Controls Assurance in providing risk management advice and implementation of risk management activities across Financial Services
- Co-ordinate with other risk management colleagues in delivery of risk identification and assessment activities for all teams within FS (Risk Control Self Assessments)
- Execute remediation projects to reduce risk exposures
- Management reporting
- Grow awareness and education of teams in Financial Services and customers on risk activities and obligations
To be successful you will have:
- The ability to manage a large and varied stakeholder group at all levels of seniority across Financial Services and its partner Business Units
- Experience in risk management and financial reporting roles in the Banking or Financial Services sector
- A good understanding and knowledge of the risk and control environment and risk practices in the Financial Services environment
- The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment and the ability to meet objectives / targets and deliver customer service
- Sound conceptual, analytical, research and problem solving skills
- CA / CPA qualification
