Marketview Application Developer
Within this fixed income technology and services group, IT developes implements and manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical to day-to-day operations for customer and user IT services, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved quickly to provide optimum levels of service with sufficient capacity, resilience and security
My client is currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team as a Senior Production Support Manager
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead, the person will assist in managing the day-to-day support of the Fixed Income trading desks
- Provide rapid business application support/solutions to front office traders
- Manage administration work of the team, i.e. running support roster, manage incident reporting etc.
- Liaise with local and overseas IT teams to define and implement a global IT strategy
- Gather requirements from users in order to provide viable system options to meet business needs
- Represent Run-the-Bank function in new project/service rollout and support onboarding.
- Work on small ad hoc development tasks and projects for the front office and support automation
Requirements
- University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology or a business background with proven experiences particularly in investment banking IT
- Experiences in user support particularly in front office area
- Experience in any of the following unix/Linux, XML, FIXML, Mono, C#, Java and Berkeley XML DB. Hands-on experience with Bloomberg Feeds (CMF, MPF/Pricelink, Trade Feed), Bloomberg API and TS Gateway would be an advantages.
- Working knowledge in fixed income business, particularly experience with Bond and IRS pricing, STP/trade flow and risk management systems
- Solid experience in Shell Scripting, TIBCO and Message Queue (MQ)
- Solid concepts on eTrading, financial products and straight through processing of trades.
- Knowledge in Bloomberg TOMS, ION/Marketview infrastructure, Reuters market data would be a plus
- Knowledge in Monitoring Tools such as BMC Patrol or ITRS Geneos
- Confident with good initiative, able to deal with demanding front office users and work under pressure
- Strong analytical mind and vision
- Good time management, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- A commitment to outstanding customer service
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English
This is a consultant position with a daily rate of £500-1000/day for the right candidate.
