Mechanical/Electrical Technicians Job in Charlotte, North Carolina Us

Large Manufacturing company is searching for Skilled Technicians.  Prefer a technical or college degree, but will consider additional experience in lieu of a degree.  Must be open to the night shift.  Must have 3+ years of experience as a Technician in a manufactuirng environment.  Company is looking for candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical skills, PLC experience, good communication, computer and interpersonal skills to join a successful team.

 

The candidates will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems with the equipment. Specific tasks include adjustments, installations, fabrications and modifications of equipment to maintain or improve safety and quality of operational conditions or equipment efficiency. I n this position the employee will work in different areas with different equipment such as:

 

Packing Lines: Depalletizers, Palletizers, Fillers, Cappers, Coders, Labelers, Case Packers, Case Erectors, Puckers, Depuckers, Pumps, etc.

 

Compounding: Mixers, Pumps, Pipes, Hydraulic Systems, Ventilation System, Steam Related Equipment, Boiler, etc.

 

Facilities: Steam Related Equipment, Boilers, Steam Traps, Steam Pumps, HVAC, Compressed Air, Pipes, etc.

 

Candidates should have the ability to use advanced trades mathematics together with technical drawings, specification sheets, charts, tables, and handbook formulas. Ability to use a variety of mechanical and electrical precision measuring instruments. Ability to use multi-machine work stations, personal computers and specific software application programs of a technical nature involving a thorough technical skills knowledge plus the application of basic theory. Diagnose/ test equipment to correct malfunctions and make improvements to accommodate new product and/or improve safety, operational quality and productivity. Perform Preventive, Corrective, Predictive and Breakdown Maintenance on the equipment. Perform Breakdown Analysis (or use other Analysis tools) to identify root cause for repetitive breakdowns or other losses. Train line team members and mechanics to diagnose problems and perform minor repairs and adjustment and/or train line team members and mechanics in other lean training. Develop lean activities such as: Autonomous Maintenance Workshops, lead  teams, etc.
