The Medicare Services Specialist is responsible for compliance, auditing and collections related to Medicare and/or other state diversion programs, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures. In this role you will act as a liaison for state and federal auditors, contractors and communities. You'll assist communities with HMO, Medicare and billing issues, as well as conduct training. You'll be responsible for supervising and assigning overall duties for the Business Office Directors . Other tasks include audit support, conducting training and communicating effectively with the regional and divisional operations teams. Success in this role requires a desire and willingness to learn new systems and effective verbal, written, and analytical skills.
Position Requirements Include:
• Financial experience with Skilled Nursing Facilities including-Medicare/HMO, accounts receivable, cost reporting and collections.
• Five year or more experience with Medicare and HMO rules and regulations
• Accounting or Clinical Degree preferred
• Five years or more of Medicare experience with billing, clinical and compliance
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare and HMO rules and regulations.
•Team player with ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
• Travel up to 95%.
• Must pass criminal background check.
