Middle officer , Coal trading
You will report to the Operations Manager and you will be responsible to:
* Handle and manage shipping documents independently;
* Liaise with shipping companies/ship brokers on shipping arrangements, vessel schedules and cargo tracking;
* Prepare and execute sales and purchase contracts;
* Computation and settlement of laytime with suppliers/buyers/owners of bulk carrier shipments;
* Liaise with accounts department for processing of bill payments and provision of accruals on a monthly basis;
* Handle sales order processing with suppliers;
* Charter Party fixtures with shipbroker;
* Responsible for PL costing;
* Responsible for shipment insurance, survey, contamination claims; and
* Ad-hoc tasks whenever required.
Requirements:-
* Min Diploma though degree holder preferred with knowledge/experience in basic accounting
* Min 5 years of working experience in dry commodity industry handling dry bulk and container shipments with import/export documentation practices
* Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin as you will liaise with overseas clients
* Positive working attitude with initiative and attention to details
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic knowledge of accounting and costing is a must
