This position is that of a Derivative Documentation Negotiator with extensive ISDA documentation experience to join the Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) documentation team. The role will reside in the MSIM business unit and support our Traditional Asset Management businesses. The role would be suitable for an experienced candidate who is able to negotiate documents independently and requires limited supervision. The candidate will be responsible for facilitating/negotiating all US derivative related documentation, including, but not limited to, ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Collateral Control Agreements, Clearing/Execution Agreements, Master Confirmation Agreements, and Repurchase Agreements.

MSIM's investment managers use various listed and OTC derivative instruments to achieve investment goals for its clients. The Derivative Documentation Negotiator will work closely with MSIM's Operations, Legal, Portfolio Management, Trading, and Risk teams in the negotiation and management of a wide variety of derivative agreements.

Key responsibilities of the Derivative Documentation Negotiator will include:
• Draft, negotiate and arrange execution of ISDA Master Agreements and CSAs (and amendments) to onboard firm's US clients (funds and separate accounts).
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to coordinate and manage any issues (e.g. risk, legal, operational, collateral management) relating to documents.
• Ensure timely execution of all documents.
• Negotiate OTC derivatives clearing documents to enable compliance with Dodd-Frank/EMIR requirements.
• Draft, negotiate and arrange execution of GMRAs and related collateral service provider agreements.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of documentation information in internal systems.
• Ensure timely escalation of negotiation issues.
• Clearly articulate term implications in the context of proposed language revisions.
• Support of Markit website data maintenance for all protocol adherence as deemed appropriate.
• IMA review for permitted derivatives.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of derivatives required.
• Knowledge of financial service industry or legal background essential.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating ISDA master agreements and related documents for clients in multiple jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of Dodd-Frank/EMIR OTC derivatives clearing requirements and documentation is a plus.

Technical/professional qualifications and accreditations:
