Mining Investment Senior Analyst
The ‘Mining Investment Senior Analyst’ will join our team based in St James’, London - to invest our recently raised Fund - and must be prepared to travel internationally as and when required.
Role
The candidate will be expected to screen, evaluate and validate data received from deal flow activities and analyse and manage the risk on a technical and geological perspective for a variety of potential investments. They will need to show a consistency of approach, and make all efforts to value the potential projects in terms of size, quality and potential profitability, whilst minimising exposure to risk. The successful candidate will become a champion of an individual project to allow better communication and monitoring with the potential investment and review from fellow analysts and CIO.
Qualification Experience Requirements
The candidate should be educated to a relevant degree level or above and have at least ten years experience in the sector and a working knowledge and understanding of the following:-
• Technical aspects of a mining / oil and gas project
• Excellent financial valuation and modelling skills
• The operational and political risk environments of the sector.
• Experience of dealing with corporate clients and bankers at a senior level
• Attention to detail within a due diligence process
• strong communication and report writing skills
• be happy to work unsupervised within a small team
