Job Description MPS Implementation Project Manager: 838345 Position Summary: We are seeking a bright and energetic MPS Implementation Project Manager who can help Staples during the customer set-up and implementation stage of a Managed Print Services engagement with our customers. The MPS Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of implementation and deployment of a new MPS customer including supply chain logistics around order fulfillment of devices, device installs/removal, identification of devices, installation of fleet management and output management software as well as customer communication, training and change management. Primary Responsibilities: - Manages all aspects of the implementation/deployment of a new MPS customer engagement including but not limited to: - Facilitates hardware ordering thru supply chain, installation planning, actual device deployment and device removal thru installation/service provider - Responsible for device identification and coordination of fleet mgmt and output mgmt software installation with IT - Development of customer change management plans (how, when, where deployments will take place), communication plans with executive team and end users during all stages of the implementation and deployment as well as training packages for end users on new devices deployed, customer support process, toner fulfillment processes, etc - Defines Customer support protocols for Tier 1-3 working with customer to understand their requirements; incorporating any help desk functions the customer may already have and want to utilize, how self-maintainers fit into the support process, etc - The Implementation Project Manager will be working very closely with the customer during the planning and implementation stage of a Managed Print Services engagement. Exercising discretion on who, what, when and where during a device deployment are critical decisions that the Implementation Project Manager must make - The Implementation Project Manager is also responsible for exercising judgment around how to handle change management with the customer which can be a very volatile situation if not communicated frequently and appropriately Qualifications Basic: - Bachelor Degree (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, IT) - 4 to 6 years (PMI training preferred) - Detail-oriented, self-starter with outstanding follow-up and follow-thru skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills required - Operational knowledge in a breadth of areas including: - Output devices from various manufacturers (printers, MFPs, fax machines, copiers, etc.) - Assessment, Quoting and Fleet management software from various manufacturers ( FM Audit, Asset DB, IPAA, PrintFleet, Compass, eAutomate, etc) with emphasis on Managed Print Services - Project Management and Change Management skills are essential; Familiarity with supply chain logistics and planning - Attention to detail, strong leadership and project management skills as well as the ability to facilitate and build relationships at multiple levels within the customer's organization and with vendors is crucial in this role as it basically drives the whole implementation and deployment process for a new MPS engagement. The quality of work delivered by the Implementation Project Manager sets the tone for the entire life of the contract with the customer.
