Position will support the New York Municipal Capital Markets Trading Group. Candidate should have 2-5 years of finance industry experience. Experience in tax-exempt markets or fixed income a plus. The candidate will help administer a multi-billion program to finance municipal bonds for both Deutsche Bank and clients of the firm.
Candidate needs to be well organized, personable, mature and able to keep track of multiple tasks and their status. As the business is expected to grow rapidly, the candidate will need to be a quick learner with good attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Create termsheets, close trades, track and calculate interest payments, set up and administer funds (financing vehicles)
Run analytics and reporting for the group
Run daily risk and PL
Create PowerPoint presentations
Review legal documents
Troubleshoot trade problems
Help determine and communicate short-term rates
Pitch clients for new mandates
Work closely with the desk, muni structuring, and other areas of the firm (credit, legal, back office, DB Truse, etc.)
Required skills:
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficient with MS Word
Spreadsheet modeling experience
Series 7 and 63 preferred
Knowledge of Bloomberg and Bloomberg API
