Online Marketing Manager recruitment
To lead and develop a multi-media client communication and marketing strategy; to effectively manage marketing budget across all media; and to lead the ongoing development and management of the web front end with all external parties.
This is a new position for a new product offering
This is a traditional stockbroking firm launching a new B2C proposition and this is a Senior hire. Background in Wealth Management or similar is essential.
Main Activities/Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain B2C marketing strategies to support the Direct to consumer website.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a CRM solution
- Identify selected target audiences via skilled database segmentation and analysis
- Ensure consistency of message and brand values
- Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed.
- Work with third party agencies to design the logo and branding of printed material to support the website.
- Manage the content and production of marketing materials, including leaflets, flyers, and newsletters.
- Manage the production of website content and supporting literature and brochure ware.
- Manage a range of key stakeholders, e.g. internal (working in conjunction with existing Business Development and PR teams), suppliers and partner organisations (e.g. Marketing Agencies; LoveMoney; AllMyPlans).
- Organise and present at events such as conferences, seminars, and roadshows: based on marketing plan
- Conduct market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups.
- Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget and to prepare and submit annual budgetary plans for Board level approval.
- Evaluating and creation of suitable MI from marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Good understanding of competitors and monitoring of increasing competitor activity.
Personal Profile
The job holder will be a skilled, qualified marketing professional with experience in retail financial services distribution.
Besides having a strong client focus, with an excellent understanding of clients' needs, s/he will have acquired extensive knowledge of the execution only 'direct to client' sector, retail investment services/products in general and of all relevant regulatory requirements.
In view of the large digital and web front end component of much of the work, the holder's background should ideally include relevant experience and acquired skills in internet marketing, database segmentation/analysis and web site management and development. S/he will also need to evidence marketing budget and agency management experience as well as a progressive knowledge of CRM software.
The job holder will also need to evidence skill and previous success in running effective 'direct to client' campaigns based on effective ongoing and regular client communication.
The holder should also have proven leadership skills, be able to work to defined and demanding timescales and be persuasive, with excellent written / oral communication skills. S/he will need to be able to present to and work effectively with senior management/board directors and staff at all levels.
