To help continue this success, we are actively seeking a candidate to join our Web Services Operations Team supporting our global consumer travel distribution channels. The Business Operations Analyst will be part of the Global Business Operations team based at Orbitz Worldwide's headquarters in Chicago. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, Supply, Technology and business teams to drive business goals and improve operational effectiveness for all Orbitz Worldwide products and partners.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background with the desire to work on the business side of technology. The candidate must be able to communicate and interact with both business and technology counterparts throughout the organization. The individual should be proactive and self-driven at creating and reviewing analytic data, discovering and identifying the root cause of issues, and driving solutions through to production. This is a very dynamic position and the candidate should be able to juggle between supporting multiple partners while remaining organized, accurate, and informative.

Ensure effective data management and reporting on key metrics for operations. Create reports and analyze data for patterns that indicate problems that need to be addressed or opportunities to investigate. Investigate root causes and work with Product, Development and Operations teams to address.

• Create ad-hoc availability / reliability / performance reports to help analyze specific areas of operations and related services
• Identify, research, and drive resolution on application related issues affecting customers and suppliers for our attractions services products
• Review and prioritize all defects with appropriate teams
• Communicate effectively with business partners in a timely manner. Exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management, key business partners and technology teams.
• Show high initiative and work with minimal daily direction while prioritizing time effectively to deliver high quality results

• Undergraduate business or technical degree
• Minimum 3 years work experience
• Knowledge of e-commerce systems and processes and/or prior travel industry experience a plus
• Experience with XML based web services APIs and SQL skills are highly desirable
• Strong logic, analytical, and problem solving skills
