Payroll & HR Admin

Our client, a large well-established and exciting business based near Wymondham, Norfolk, seek an experienced Payroll professional to join their team on a permanent basis. The purpose of varied job opportunity is to manage the payroll process and to ensure all staff are paid in accordance to company policy and inline with statute. Whilst supporting the HR Admin to ensure tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record within payroll, who enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Operate the relevant tax legislation in accordance to the HRMC processes.
• Oversee the TA and absence processes ensuring all tasks are carried out correctly and on time.
• Reconcile allocated balance sheet codes by the specified time.
• Accrue accurate agency costs each month leading to the authorisation of invoices presented.
• Run payroll year-end and submit to Inland Revenue including PSA P11D.
• System administration of the Payroll/HR package
• Meet all Finance set deadlines especially at month and year-end.
• Provide management reports as and when requested.
• Manage the BUPA and Pension schemes as required
• Manage the modified payroll in accordance with statute
• Administration of the HR and Payroll disaster recovery process.
• Absence management including that of holiday, sickness and time and attendance
• Support the HR team with day to day HR tasks including:-
- Employee Engagement
- Interview arrangements
- Induction programs
- Long service award
- IR, healthcare and any other duties required time to time

Qualifications and Experience (Essential Desirable criteria):

Essential Criteria:

BTEC National Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent
Experience of using Sage Payroll
Microsoft office suite. Must be at least intermediate level on Excel
Previous experience of managing a payroll with multiple pay dates
Accurate, strong attention to detail and a focus on maintaining confidentiality and upholding discretion.
A team player mentality and excellent communication skills are also key

Experience of using HR software packages
