Vice President / Audit Manager – Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Audit

A world leading Investment Bank with widespread global operations is currently in the market for a highly experienced Internal Audit Manager to join their Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) audit team at the Vice President / Audit Manager level. The audit division in this bank has grown significantly over the past few years due to ever-growing regulatory pressure. The successful candidate will lead audits responsible for FX, Liquidity Management, Rates and Credit across the whole bank. You will liaise with SMEs from Risk, Compliance, Operations, IT Financial Reporting, whilst managing relationships with senior stakeholders around the business across EMEA, US and APAC (within and outside of Audit). You will be required to manage multiple assignments at one time, prioritising workload with limited supervision and be able to work under high levels of pressure.

Successful candidates will be acting as audit manager within FIC, focusing mainly on FX, Rates, Credit, Listed Derivatives and Liquidity Management. You will be directing a team of highly experienced auditors and reporting directly to senior management and regional Heads of Audit. You will have the responsibility of building and managing relationships with senior management across EMEA, US and APAC, whilst focusing mainly on the UK markets. Your daily work will help to develop your IFRS expertise, especially related to investment banking activity.

Requirements:

• You must have at least 5 years of prior Investment Banking internal audit experience in the capacity of audit manager
• Extensive knowledge of the following:
o FX – spot, forward, derivatives
o Derivatives – prime brokerage and OTC
o Rates – flow, exotic, structured, cash
o Global Liquidity – repos, money markets, pool trading, short-term funding
o Credit – high yield, distressed debt products
• A proven track record in directing audits and leading teams
• Capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time-management and audit execution skills
• Being comfortable at persuasively presenting complex issues to senior management
• Motivated and ambitious individuals, able to perform effectively under pressure
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship
