PERSONAL HEALTH ADVISOR (Occupational Therapists / Physiotherapists / Occupational Health Nurses) – MIDLANDS
Hays Healthcare is working with a market leading client, who have been awarded a contract by the Department for Work Pensions (DWP) for those claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). This contract requires suitably trained Health Professionals to support the management of the health and well-being for those enrolled onto the programme.
Supported by a Senior Health Advisor, this role offers ongoing opportunities for both personal and professional development.
Main duties of this role:
· To deliver bio-psychosocial initial health assessments. These may be carried out face-to-face or by telephone interventions.
· To ensure that during the initial health assessment and ongoing, that standardised health diagnostics and standardised outcome measures are completed.
· To deliver additional health appointments in order to review patient progress whilst on the ESA programme.
· To ensure that key aspects of health, work and well-being are covered during appointments that ESA clients have scheduled on the ESA programme.
· To identify specific client constraints to produce an individually tailored health action plan.
· To record all mandatory and relevant information as each health appointment / activity takes place.
· To work within high levels of clinical governance specifically related to clinical effectiveness, risk management, client centred provision CPD whilst working on the ESA programme.
Required Competencies and Skills:
· Exceptional planning, organisation and communication skills.
· The ability to work independently and within a team.
· Experience of working with those who are unemployed and / or may have health or wellbeing related issues.
· To be a Qualified Occupational Therapist, Occupational Nurse or a Physiotherapist – registered with the HCPC/RCN ideally.
· An understanding and awareness of the Bio-Psychosocial model of Healthcare.
· A clean driving license – This position will require travel between sites.
