Macquarie's Metals and Energy Capital Division provides debt, mezzanine and equity finance as well as commodity and currency hedging and trading facilities to its clients in the oil and gas, base metal and precious metal sectors. These clients are serviced from existing offices in Sydney, Perth, London, New York, Houston and Vancouver.

In response to the ongoing growth of our business, we are looking for an experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our team in a business aligned technical advisory role. This opporrtunity will suit experienced candidates looking to work as a key advisor in a global business environment.

In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for the screening of deals presented by prospective client companies, providing a determination of expected range of reserves and future production profiles on proposed client projects. Your strong attention to detail will see you undertake the development of economic forecasts, and be responsible for the pre-deal identification of risk of any type (reservoir, mechanical, business, political). You will oversee the pre-deal verification of client operational procedures and cost estimates, and provide technical assistance in development of deal structure and terms to ensure our deals are both market and industry competitive.

With your strong outcome focus and superior communication skills, you will be involved in the entire deal life-cycle; from initial evaluation, to preparation of project proposals for review and post-close monitoring of operations, production and economic performance of client properties. As our primary technical advisor in the region, you will have experience and be comfortable with working in an autonomous environment.
