Prison Nurse

Hays Healthcare are working closely with a prison based in the beautiful area of Bicester, Oxfordshire. Our client is looking for Registered Mental Nurses and Registered General Nurses to work on a full time basis.

This prison operates as a Category C adult male prison with a Category B local function. Having opened in 1992, the prison is a 'new gallery' design prison with its four main houseblocks divided into three galleried units.

The key responsibilities for this job will include:

· To work as part of a team undertaking lead responsibilities as negotiated and agreed with Healthcare management.
· Attend appropriate training and maintain competencies in all relevant areas
· To assess individual care needs , implement and evaluate holistic programmes of care.
· To take every opportunity to promote the health and well being of the patient.
· To maintain close liaison with senior management team, deputising as required.
