About the Opportunity
SWIB is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its Private Equity Team. The individual will be responsible for establishing, building and managing an internal Private Equity co-investment program.
Essential Activities
- Overseeing Private Equity Co-Investments to maximize economic returns, commensurate with prudent investment risks, and in compliance with portfolio guidelines
- Sourcing new co-investment opportunities and tracking deal activity
- Leading the due diligence and closing process for new co-investments
- Attending meetings with Private Equity managers
- Monitoring co-investments and assisting with the annual and interim reporting of portfolio performance, strategy, and outlook
Candidate Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance is required, MBA preferred
- Eight years of investment experience
- Prior Private Equity Co-investment experience is preferred
- Advanced quantitative skills
- Comfortable taking initiative, being resourceful, and performing within a team environment
- Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

The position requires U.S. work authorization and current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance.
Travel will be required for this position.
