Private Wealth Management – Sales Assistant, French Desk recruitment

Position Description
Established in 1977, PWM aims to provide comprehensive solutions and wealth management advice to individuals, families and foundations in control of significant pools of assets and liquidity (over $10,000,000 in investable assets). We provide a solution-driven approach to complex financial problems incorporating highly analytical methods and a multitude of products.

Scope and Purpose of Role:

To provide support to the French desk which comprises of two Investment Advisors based in London.

Initial day to day responsibilities and functions would include:
- Executing security trades and foreign exchange transactions.
- Opening and closing of new accounts (gathering information, sending out information).
- Cash management – foreign exchange, investing in cash alternatives, cash transfers.
- Checking positions, balances.
- Reviewing previous day’s activity.
- Trade settlement.
- Cash / stock transfers.
- Checking commission runs.
- Liaising with operations.
- Ensuring all corporate actions are dealt with on a timely basis.
- General client service – account, research, market information.
- Co-ordinating Broker’s business trips – to include travel, itineraries and expenses.
- Preparation and co-ordination of client marketing material.
- Copying / faxing / filing / mailing – client statements and research.

Skills Required
Education Requirements:
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- FSA qualified, preferred but not required.

Previous Experience:
- Experience within a similar role in the Equity or Fixed Income business would be an advantage.

Skills Required:
- Fluency in French and English (written and verbal) essential.
- Computer literacy, especially Excel or PC spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of Power Point.
- Articulate communication, both written and verbal.
- Proven creative approach to problem solving.
- Proven administrative skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Active interest in financial markets.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter.
- Conscientious and thorough in coverage of tasks.
- Persuasive, with good communication skills.
- Well organised and able to adapt, re-prioritise swiftly.
- Team player, polished and ambitious.
