Product Analyst
As a key factor in client acquisition and in the adoption of Macquarie's Relationship Banking (MRB) transactional banking products and services, the Software Integration function is critical to the success of MRB.
Working within the MRB Product team, this role has responsibility for co-ordinating and facilitating the integration activities of a suite of Macquarie products and services with third-party Software Providers and clients. In addition, you will provide expertise and support to internal staff and clients regarding MRB's integrated transactional banking product portfolio and have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the software integration process.
High levels of technical expertise, project management experience and strong communication skills are key success factors of the role. As well as the day-to-day management of integrations, you will perform portfolio level management activities, such as reporting, issue tracking and issue resolution.
This role will appeal to candidates from a technical background that are looking to get closer to the business, and also to those from within the business who are looking to specialise in a transactional banking related area.
More about the role:
- Support external Software Providers from the Discovery phase through to Implementation for specific integration activities: including providing and interpreting technical specifications, formulation of an appropriate testing strategy, supporting the execution of testing through to providing signoff, and facilitating implementation into production
- Support Sales with technical product integration expertise for deeper penetration into new and existing industry segments
- Consult on the integration solution design in conjunction with Business Diagnostics (our specialist, client-facing business consulting team)
- Provide on-going technical support to 100+ existing Software Providers/clients, in so far as their issues relate to integration with MRB's products and services. Manage the operational relationship with Software Providers in conjunction with Business Diagnostics.
- Perform ongoing portfolio management activities, such as regular reporting and tracking of integration capability and activity, tracking of integration issues and management through to resolution, assessing levels of risk, and the development of product integration documentation.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in a Technology/Business related discipline;
- Experience in a technical/project/testing role, preferably within financial services or a services related environment within Australia; experience specific to payments products highly desired;
- Exposure to risk management disciplines;
- Planning and organising skills, detail orientated and technically minded;
- Analytical, process and problem solving skills;
- Team player with ability to build strong working relationships and partnerships;
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and influencing skills; ability to transfer complex technical information clearly to a range of different audiences.
