Product control/Valuations project manager

An outstanding opportunity currently exists within a finance change management team in a London Investment Bank. This group has responsibility for all valuation and product control related programmes. The successful candidate will have experience of a large banks finance function and Change experience.

Main responsibilities:

-Work with the Programme manager to ensure execution of project life cycle tasks and analysis

Plan and perform analysis:

-Define approach and perform business analysis, document findings and present proposals; help design solutions in line with strategic vision of the program and firm

-Elicit and document business requirements, act as the interface between Ops line functions, Finance and technology

-Create quality business and functional requirements working closely with the Implementation and Technical Design teams

-Work with SMEs to validate business analysis/requirements, testing preparation and liaise with Ops users during user testing

-Develop test plan

-Identify and track issues, analyze and propose resolutions

-Assist with training, communication and education across PC, FC and Operations

This role will drive in the delivery of change in the Finance environment. This includes products from the more Vanilla portfolio through to the more exotic structures, across IB Securities.

Working very closely with the Finance control teams you will be responsible for the delivery of change in partnership with other stakeholders following established design frameworks.

As mentioned above the type of work within the team is very diverse and as a result your role will involve moving from project to project at pace, working on more than one project at a time is a regular occurrence. The role requires that you have the aptitude and presence of mind to communicate design or testing deficiencies where appropriate as soon as possible, here the appropriate level of support will be provided.
